Read and Trade is an innovative book trading website. Dreamed up by our founder Richie Frost, it allows users to make use of older unwanted books lying around the house, by letting them trade those books for new books that they do want. Started in Orlando, FL our mission is to provide a way for people all over the nation to be able to afford fresh books all the time. We wish to do this because we understand that the price of books is high and no one should be unable to read what they want simply because they can’t afford it.

Who are we?

Richie Frost-

Richie is the Founder & CEO of Read and Trade. He is an entrepreneur at heart and loves helping people through the businesses he creates. Before founding Read and Trade, Richie tried his hand at businesses such as EXEC, The Orlando Gathering, Cosucard, and JOJI. Richie is set to graduate with a B.S. in Business Management from University of Central Florida. Along with a passion for building businesses, he’s also an avid reader. • Instead of 1 credit =1 book, our site uses a range of credits from 1-3 based on the current value of that book on Amazon.
• We are an international Site. For user’s who trade out of the country you will receive an extra 2 points!
• We give you the ability to rate your book based on the condition which will be available to be seen prior to trading.
• Our site is profoundly easier to navigate and is a lot more user friendly in all aspects of using the site.
• When it comes to adding books, we have a visual fluid representation and list of your books. Also, instead of the usual ISBN on other sites, we allow you to simply enter the book title and select which book you have which makes it easier for you to add books.
• We allow you to review other users whom you have traded with. This makes it safer for our users to know whom their trading with and how much they can be trusted.
• If you refer your friends, and they sign up, you will receive an extra free point!
• Read and Trade is a big supporter of charity and so we donate $1 of every membership to the Reading is Fundamental Charity.
• On our site, it is free to upload books and browse our selection of books, however in order to actually trade you will have to get a membership. Our membership is $6.99 a year, which after the $1 to charity as i mentioned, comes out to only $0.50 a month! Users have the option to pay the year in full or by month. When you get a membership though you are automatically given one free point!
• Unlike other sites, when you make a trade you get your points right away. However we do have measures in place to control lost books. If a book is lost in the mail or you do not receive it, There is a button you can press on the site where you can get your points back up to 5 times a year. If people keep pressing the "Lost Book" button on the same user 3 times, a mark will be put on their account to warn others. If it persists to 5 times, then their account will be canceled.
